    Who We Are Looking For

    UpWind Elevator Inc. operates at the intersection of elevating systems and renewable energy, specializing in wind turbine service lifts across Canada. As we scale, we’re looking for a Field Engineer who can drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across both construction and ongoing service operations.

    This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be in the field, solving problems, improving systems, and raising the standard of execution across the company.

    This role is based in London, Ontario, and involves travel to project sites across Ontario and throughout Canada.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and servicing wind turbine service lifts in a dynamic and rapidly expanding industry.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Oversee construction quality on installation projects, ensuring compliance with design specs, codes, and safety standards
    • Establish and improve maintenance and service processes, driving consistency and efficiency across field operations
    • Monitor and enhance service quality, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting practices
    • Conduct site audits, inspections, and quality reviews across both installation and service work
    • Identify gaps, recurring issues, and inefficiencies—and implement practical, field-driven solutions
    • Work closely with field crews and leadership to standardize best practices
    • Support project planning, execution, commissioning, and post-project reviews
    • Travel extensively to job sites across Ontario and Canada

    What You Bring

    • Engineering degree or diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
    • Experience in construction, industrial, service or renewable energy environments
    • Strong understanding of quality control, field execution and maintenance practices
    • Ability to improve processes in both installation and service environments
    • Comfortable working in the field, including heights and active job sites
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
    • Willingness to travel regularly
    • Valid driver’s license

    What Sets You Apart

    • Experience in wind energy, elevators, or vertical transportation systems
    • Background in field engineering, commissioning, or QA/QC roles
    • Proven ability to build and improve service/maintenance programs
